A lawyer of the Andrés Bello Catholic University (1970), with Cum Laude mention and award of the association of the former students of such Univirsity as the best student graduated in 1970, with several specialization courses in tax and procedural matters. He has combined his professional activity with a wide academic activity and the holding of high board-level functions in national industrial and financial corporations. He has been professor of Obligations, Roman Law, and Law of Evidence at the Andrés Bello Catholic University since 1970 to this date, holding the Chair of Obligations since 1978. He was also professor of Business Law at the Central University of Venezuela from 1979 through 1984. Among his highest board –level functions: Director of Sociedad Financiera Adcreca, Director of Sociedad Financiera Caracas, Director of Laboratorio Behrens, Director of Banco de Venezuela, Director of Arrendadora Bancarac, and Director of Banco Caracas. He is presently the President of the Board of Directors of BBVA Banco Provincial. He has participated in tender offers. Languages: Spanish and English.
